Introduction

TLC provides students between the ages of 12-14 (Year 7, Year 8 & Year 9) and 15 - 16 years (Year 10 & Year 11) a route to the Cambridge IGCSE, a qualification which is recognised worldwide.

The Teachers
The team is led and guided by a veteran teacher who has more than 20 years of experience teaching Sciences in international schools.  She is very familiar with the expectations and demands of the IGCSE examinations.

Our Appoach
Our small classes allow students to work at different pace.  We also encourage students to take responsibility for their learning and to be increasingly independent.
Duration and Enrolment

Cambridge IGCSE examinations are available at two times during the year, in October/November and May/June.

Reporting

Students' progress report will be issued quarterly and emailed to parents.

Timetable (Pre- IGCSE)

The Tentative timetable is organised like the one shown below.

Students who carry fewer than 8 subjects will have the opportunity to work on assignments or do revision within the timetable.

All students will be given, and are expected to do a significant amount of independent work or assignments outside the timetable as well.

Personal & Interpersonal Development

All students will be encouraged to work on a personal portfolio to document their extra-curricular experiences.

This encourages reflection, develops a more in-depth understanding of oneself and creates an awareness of the importance of rich experiences.

These experiences can include individual pursuits such as learning to play a musical instrument, or one that develops altruistic values such as volunteering at a charitable organisation.
